Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Privacy at a glance

Protecting your personal data matters to us. In line with Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), this privacy policy explains what data we collect when you visit this website, why we process it and what rights you have.

This website uses no analytics or marketing tools. We only use what is needed to run the site and to answer your enquiries.

2. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

JES Chemicals Sp. z o.o.
ul. Władysława Reymonta 113B
42-125 Kamyk
Poland

Phone: +48 697 778 876
E-mail: marcin.sroka@jes-cs.com

For questions about data protection, please contact us at the same address with the subject "Data protection".

3. What is personal data?

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (Art. 4(1) GDPR) – for example a name, e-mail address, phone number or IP address.

4. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages) and delivered through its network. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technical data that your browser sends automatically:

  • IP address,
  • date and time of access,
  • the page or file requested,
  • browser type and version, operating system,
  • referrer URL (the previously visited page).

This processing serves to deliver the website securely and reliably and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is kept only as long as necessary for these purposes and is not combined with other data sources. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Cloudflare.

5. Contact form, e-mail and phone

When you send us an enquiry through the contact form, we process the data you enter: name, e-mail address, your message and – optionally – your phone number. The form is passed by a function at Cloudflare to the e-mail service Resend (Resend, Inc., San Francisco, USA), which delivers the message to our inbox.

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process the data you share in the same way.

We use your details solely to handle your enquiry and to get in touch with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps (e.g. a quote or a private label project), and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We delete your data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. for business correspondence) apply.

6. Cookies and local storage

We only use storage that is technically necessary, which does not require consent (Section 25(2) of the German TDDDG and the corresponding rules of Polish and other EU law). The legal basis for the related processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

  • Cookie settings (cookie "cc_cookie"): stores your choice in the cookie banner so it does not reappear on every page. Retention: 6 months.
  • Light/dark mode (local storage "theme"): remembers in your browser whether you chose the light or the dark look. This setting never leaves your device.

We currently use no analytics or marketing cookies. Should that change, we will ask for your consent through the cookie banner first. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and delete stored cookies in your browser.

7. Fonts

The fonts on this website are served locally from our own server. No connection is made to Google or other font providers when you visit the site.

8. Google Maps

On our contact page you can display a Google Maps map. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The map only loads with your consent – until then no connection is made to Google. You can give it in the cookie banner under "External media" or once by clicking "Load map". In doing so you consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG) to Google receiving, among other data, your IP address, the date and time of access and the page visited, and to Google using cookies or similar technologies. Data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Consent given in the cookie banner is stored in the "cc_cookie" cookie (6 months); the map then loads straight away on every visit. You can withdraw it at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Consent given by clicking "Load map" applies to that page view only and is not stored. Our address also links to Google Maps – data is only sent to Google once you click the link. For more information see Google's privacy policy.

9. Recipients and transfers to third countries

Your data is only accessed by our responsible staff and by the service providers named above (Cloudflare, Resend), who act on our behalf. Both are based in the USA, so data may be transferred to a third country. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified) or on the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 45 and 46 GDPR).

We do not pass on or sell your data for advertising purposes.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the data stored about you (Art. 15),
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16),
  • erasure (Art. 17),
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18),
  • data portability (Art. 20),
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21),
  • withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

To exercise your rights, a simple message to marcin.sroka@jes-cs.com is enough.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland. You may also contact the authority in your country of residence.

11. Provision of data, no automated decisions

You are not obliged to provide personal data, but without your contact details we cannot answer an enquiry. We do not make automated decisions, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).

12. Data security

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption, which you can recognise by the padlock icon and "https://" in your browser's address bar. We also protect your data against loss and unauthorised access through technical and organisational measures.

13. Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy when the law or our website changes – for example when new services are added. The version published here applies.
